Pass-a-Grille Beach

Pass-a-Grille is Florida’s oldest, most quintessential beach community. This quaint, laid back beach town at the southernmost end of St. Pete Beach is a mere thirty-one blocks long and one block wide. A mostly residential neighborhood, Pass-a-Grille’s appeal comes from its charming cottages, historic beach bungalows, and water-front mansions. Old Florida palms line the streets, offering a collection of off-beat shops, art galleries, and sprawling beachfronts.

An integral part of the community is Pass-a-Grille beach, a wide sandy beach that stretches out miles along the Gulf coast. If you head north, you’ll reach the infamous pink Don Cesar Hotel where you can enjoy your favorite drink on the beach or eat at one of the Don’s world class restaurants. This towering pink “castle” has been featured in many Hollywood films and provides a beautiful backdrop to watch the sunset. The sugary white beaches attract all ages, and you’ll find the locals out every morning on the sandy shores for their daily power-walk. For the outdoorsy types there are endless opportunities for kite-boarding, paddle boarding and kayaking.

Eighth Avenue is known for its eclectic shopping with local eateries, up-scale restaurants, and cozy inns right around the corner. On 10th Avenue, directly across from The Seaside Grill restaurant is one of Pass-a-Grill’s premier restaurants, The Hurricane, where you can catch the breathtaking sunsets from their rooftop deck.  Packed with Florida charm, Pass-a-Grill is a great place to live the leisurely lifestyle, while enjoying the benefits of having a thriving city nearby.
