Maximo Moorings is located on the eastern end of the Pinellas Bayway immediately after coming off the I-275 ramp towards St. Pete Beach. Maximo Moorings was built in the mid to late-1950s with the Maximo Marina as the centerpiece of the development. Material dredged from the deepening of the Maximo Canal was used to level the land and the community was built around broad, deep-water canals with access to Boca Ciega Bay. The community consists of mostly one-story single family homes, many of which are located on waterfront lots.
Maximo Moorings is a highly desirable area which has close proximity to Eckerd College, restaurants, Downtown St. Pete, marinas and shopping.
